Portland, Maine's largest city, is just 12 miles north and boasts a spirited nightlife, lots of shopping and an impressive array of fine restaurants. Portland's historic Old Port is especially charming with brick sidewalks, cobblestone streets, boutique shops and ferries to nearby islands. Hotel Features. Consisting of two buildings, the 1903 Victorian Main House and the 1920's Bungalow, the inn is fronted by a meticulously maintained lawn and offers a heated in ground pool. Both buildings have shady verandas flanked by beautiful shrubbery and perennials. A gazebo shaded by 100 year old white birch trees makes a great spot to relax. Guests wake each morning to the enticing aroma of homemade muffins and coffee. The dining and living areas are elegant yet comfortable.
