Spring and summer average about 10 degrees cooler. We usually have pleasant conditions from Memorial Day through Labor Day. .The fall may bring anything from warm days, “Indian Summer" days lasting well into October. It's best to prepare for anything when visiting this region and bring warm clothes.TransportationOxford Hill Area is within an hours drive from the Portland International Airport. Our local area also offers a Shuttle Service. Maine Tourism - Oxford Hills Attractions, Activities and Day TripsGems of 26, Oxford Fair, Art Show, Parades, Trails for walking and ATV’s or snowmobiles. We have mines to collect gems. Poland Springs and Bethel Inn offer great golfing. There are three beautiful ski areas, all within an easy drive. Each town offers a nice library stocked with local history. In the late fall and early winter our woods are a beautiful area for hunting. Our lakes and streams offer a variety of fishing. Several areas for camping are open from May till late October. We are within roughly an hour away from malls and Portland area attractions. Oxford Hill is within an easy drive to beautiful Old Orchard and the ocean coast.
