Description of this Maine Activity: Abundant in our St. Croix watershed are Landlocked salmon, square-tailed trout, lake trout and some of the best small-mouthed bass fishing in Maine. Few are the fisherman to whom Grand Lake Stream means merely a location on the map of eastern Maine.
As soon as the ice is out in the spring, trolling is the order of things on waters such as West Grand Lake, Big Lake, and Pocumcus Lake. Grand Lake Stream itself is one of the most premier fly fishing streams for landlocked salmon country. May and June is the enthusiastic fly fisherman's "Happy Hour" on the stream as well as the many lakes and ponds that cover this area. No matter what your fishing preference is, the Grand Lake Stream region offers a variety of waters and species bound to make your fishing experience memorable
Grand Lake Stream has the most concentrated number of Registered Maine Guides than anywhere else in the State of Maine. Deep with tradition and knowledge these experienced individuals will offer a fishing (or hunting) experience you will never forget. Your host at any of the sporting camps can assist you in contacting a guide.
Our guides are long on knowledge of our water shed. For many generations the "Grand Laker" canoe, built by Grand Lake Stream craftsmen, has been used by our guides and still is today. With a guide you can experience your lunch cooked over an open fire, the contentment of wooded hills, clean water--the silence only broken by the voices of distant loons. Description of this Maine Activity: The Playroom of Maine is a family play center with games, pretend play, playhouse, climbing tower, train table, activity, an indoor bounce house and a traverse rock climbing wall. The Playroom is grouped by age starting with the infant and toddler soft play and padded room with a slide and ball pit. Next is the preschool area with riding toys, dress up and a reading corner. We are a children's indoor birthday party place with open play, art classes, parent-child music classes, mom's groups, children's clown and the store front for Mini Me Rentals. Mini Me Rentals has bounce houses, carnival games, cotton candy machine, stork signs and baby equipment rentals in Maine.

Canoe trips can be Day trips to multiple day trips such as following Thoreau’s five day journey through the wilderness down the Penobscot River to Chesumcook Lake. All our Guides are registered and licensed Maine Guides. There is a nationally registered EMT on every trip
Lodging: Our facility is a AAA rated, air-conditioned Resort. We offer rooms with a river view, Jacuzzi tubs and a sun porch. We also have a two-bedroom housekeeping apartment that will sleep 12 people, and a campground. We have a full service pub and a fine dining restaurant. Altogether we provide you with the finest hospitality in the area.
Other activities: Fishing is one of our favorite pastimes. Our local trout and salmon population challenge anglers in our streams, rivers and ponds. Bass fishing is also popular as the weather warms up. Fishing guides and boats are available upon request.
The Forks area abounds with small and big game. Many hunting packages are available, please call for more information.
