Description of this Maine Attraction: The L.C.Bates Museum of Good Will-Hinckley Homes is an early 20th century natural history and cultural museum located in a beautiful 1903 Romanesque Revival building. The Museum exhibits include Maine natural history, Americana, art, archaeology, archaeology, cultural collections and Maine history. There are nature trails, an arboretum and picnic tables behind the museum. This museum has something for everyone and is enjoyed by visitors of all ages. The museum has Saturday morning drop-in childrens' programs, summer art exhibits and varied natural history programs.

This summer we feature Walt Kelly's Pogo original art. We display the original saddles & western clothing worn by Roy Rogers, The Lone Ranger, and Gene Autry. You will see extensive collections of 1930s Disneyana, Betty Boop, Popeye, Felix the Cat, WW2 toys, Popeye, Hopalong Cassidy, Red Ryder, The Shadow, The Green Hornet, Robots, space toys, radio premium decoders and rings, a complete collection of all the original Star Wars figures, a 1939 Donald Duck carousel figure, golden age comic books and so much more. We are also an antique shop with a variety of items for sale and an art gallery displaying contemporary fine art. Open 10-4 Mem.Day-Columbus Day. Columbus Day to Xmas open 12-4 Sat-Sun only. Description of this Maine Attraction: The Playroom of Maine is a family play center with games, pretend play, playhouse, climbing tower, train table, activity, an indoor bounce house and a traverse rock climbing wall. The Playroom is grouped by age starting with the infant and toddler soft play and padded room with a slide and ball pit. Next is the preschool area with riding toys, dress up and a reading corner. We are a children's indoor birthday party place with open play, art classes, parent-child music classes, mom's groups, children's clown and the store front for Mini Me Rentals. Mini Me Rentals has bounce houses, carnival games, cotton candy machine, stork signs and baby equipment rentals in Maine.

Museum offers special programs throughout the year, such as a lecture series, a summer music series, a living history summer day camp for children, and more. Museum is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:30 to 2:30, and by appointment. We are located at the corner of Nequasset Road and Highway One, in Woolwich, Maine, just north of Historic Bath.
