Lytton is Canada's hot spot and river rafting capital. Lytton is a beautiful community nestled between the meeting point of the Thompson River and Fraser River. When the crystal green water meets the dark brown and green color of the Fraser, it fuses a sight to behold! Siska, located west of Lytton on highway 1, is a first nation's band with a museum and native community. You can learn about the aboriginals of this area. The Nahatlatch lakes and river valley are an ecological utopia with amazing scenery. Drive through the Nahatlatch canyon and watch as it opens into a river valley separated by four stunning lakes! Nahatlatch is also famous for its white water rafting. North Bend is a small community on the west side of the Fraser River across from Boston Bar. Railway buffs can watch the Canadian Pacific Railway trains at the North Bend train station! On the opposite side of the canyon is Boston Bar, another small community. The Canadian National Railway travels to and from this train station. Boston Bar is also the gateway to the Nahatlatch and Skuzzy Creek. Visit the Cog Harrington Park to get a glimpse of the rich history in the area. Historic Yale was once a bustling gold rush community. Yale, BC, another railway community is full of history and beautiful scenery. Visit the Spirit Caves Trails where the wind rushes through small caves in the mountain. This creates a mystic whistling sound. Hope is the hollywood of the north. Hope, BC is the chainsaw carving capital. They have amazing carvings spread throughout the community. Be sure to also visit the Othello Tunnels in the Coquihalla Canyon or the spawning Kokanee salmon at the Kawkawa Lake. Manning Provincial Park is an untouched heaven of lakes, rivers, streams, mountains, canyons, valleys, and vistas. It is a great trip for the summer or winter. Bridal Falls is at the gateway of the canyon on highway 1. Bridal Falls is located in beautiful Rosedale. There are many attractions to visit like Dino Town, Minter Gardens, and TransCanada Waterslides. They also have great golfing and family camping. Visit the beautiful Bridal Veil Falls! Harrison Lake and Hot Springs is another gateway to the Fraser Canyon. It is on the west side of the Fraser along highway 7. Harrison offers a beautiful lake and long sandy beaches. Be sure to visit the sand castle event and the many other events held here. Agassiz, Canada's corn capital, is famous for their delicious hazelnuts. While in Agassiz, be sure to visit the Kilby museum. Agassiz is the gateway to Hemlock Mountain, Harrison Lake and the Fraser Canyon.
