Description of this Indiana Visitor Information entry: The Columbus Area Visitors Center offers a city tour that showcases both historic and contemporary buildings, along with the stories of the people who have shaped the community. Among the sixty contemporary structures, there are six buildings that have been designated National Historic Landmarks by the National Park Service. Just over 2,300 buildings in the U.S. have obtained such status. In addition, you will see the work of artists such as Henry Moore, Dale Chihuly, J. Seward Johnson, and Jean Tinquely.
Other Visitors Center Services include: Exhibition area including architectural models, Convention and group services, Customized tours, Indiana Travel Brochures, Gift Shop, Free Parking, and Restrooms.

This beautiful(2005) log cabin is just 2 miles from Nashville Indiana's quaint village(250 shops,galleries & eateries) and 4 miles from Brown County State Park. It is located on a hill surrounded by 8 acres of scenic woods and ravines...very private and peaceful!
Loaded with warmth and charm, this cabin is constructed with native logs from a local sawmill and chinked with mortar and has hickory flooring throughout. There are 3 bedrooms (queen beds) and 2 baths for 6 guests. Many of the decorations were selected from specialty shops in the village and are unique. The living room has new reclining leather seating for comfort while sitting near the brown county stone fireplace and watching the modern LCD tv with satellite. Located in the loft, a 1951 restored coke machine is sure to make you smile. Conversations generally lead to sweet memories of the past.The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher and newer appliances. For outdoor cooking there is a charcoal grill and picnic table.
A flagstone stamped walk is boarded with perennials and the lawn is nicely manicured. A 1/4 mile ridgetop trail leads through the woods to an awesome view of the cabin on a distant ridge. Outdoor activities include a 6 person hottub for relaxation, reminisce around the campfire, play horseshoes or badmitten. Large covered porches are great for morning coffee or bird watching. Listen to the crickets and the "croakin' frogs" from a nearby pond. You will likely see deer crossing this property.
