Description of this Idaho Falls Attraction: The Museum of Idaho is Idaho’s premier national traveling exhibit museum and is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the natural and cultural history of Idaho and the Intermountain West. The museum does this by developing regional educational programs in the sciences and humanities, and by hosting nationally acclaimed exhibitions including A T. Rex Named Sue, Discovering Idaho: The World of Lewis & Clark and Space Journey (NASA). The museum offers permanent displays about the Columbian Mammoth, Lewis and Clark, the Race for Atomic Power, and the Children’s Discovery Room, along with a reading and reference library, presentations and educational programs.

Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition
Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition takes a chronological journey through life on the Titanic, offering participants the unprecedented opportunity to experience the stories and science behind the Ship's legacy. Upon entering the Exhibition, each visitor becomes a passenger and is immersed in the excitement of that memorable day in 1912 when the world's finest and most luxurious ship set sail. From authentically re-created cabins to place settings and menus describing the meals served onboard, participants are transported to the decks of the Titanic.
Complementing each experience are more than 100 authentic artifacts recovered from the Ship's debris field, including the china used in Titanic's restaurants and personal effects of the Ship's passengers. Visitors will come face-to-face with a real iceberg; learn about the science behind the disaster and why Titanic's story continues to resonate.

"Lewis & Clark in Idaho" Permanent
Visitors to Lewis & Clark in Idaho will travel back 200 years and rediscover some of what the Corps of Discovery encountered on their expedition through Idaho. Featured is a Lemhi Shoshone village, including a brain tanned buffalo hide tipi, a bull boat and more than 100 Indian and Lewis & Clark items of that period.
