Description of this Council Bluffs area Activity: Just one mile off the Interstate 80 at the Neola exit, Arrowhead park features a 17 acre fishing lake with boat ramp, equal access fishing dock and seasonal bait sales. Canoe and paddle boats are rented by the 1/2 hour, half or full day. Four seperate, modern camping areas and a dump station are available. Fifty-eight sites have 30 amp electric and 7 sites are pull-through with 50 amp hook-ups. Three modern camping cabins are also available for rent year-round. Tent camping is allowed throughout the park. Brezee Lodge enclosed shelter is the perfect place for a group gathering with heat and air conditioning, kitchen, fireplace and large deck. Open shelters throughtout the park also offer perfect picnic spots.
Other recreation activities include playgrounds, basketball and volleyball courts, hiking trails, and horseback riding trails.

Description of this Council Bluffs area Activity: Botna Bend park is a favorite for campers who enjoy a small-town atmosphere. The park is equipped with a modern shower house, dump station, forty 30 amp electric sites, tent camping, playground, picnic shelters, and plenty of shade trees. Hiking trails wind along the Nishnabotna River and anglers catch Flathead Catfish, Carp, Bluegill, Gar and Walleye. Bison and elk herds reside in the park's pasture area and give visiors the opportunity to see these animals up close.
The park offers two Nishnabotna River journeys that are sure to please with sites, sounds and pure relaxation for anyone. Canoes and kayaks are available to rent for half day and full day trips. Sandbars make good picnic stops, and for the treasure seeker, the Nishnabotna is always uncovering little bits of the past. Fossils are commonly found along the river banks.
