We love the fact that Citrus County is in a rural setting, yet is within about an hour from Tampa, St Petersburg, Gainesville, Ocala and about 1 1/2 hours from Orlando. The proximity to the larger cities makes shopping and culture possible, but you can return home to the suburbs - perhaps even passing cattle or horses along the way. We promote conservation of all species and practice catch and release, however if you want the captain to fillet your legal catches there is no extra charge.
