| Description | The Conga Kings, a nine-piece rumba group featuring the masters of Afro-Cuban conga drumming, bring their celebration of modern rhythm and melody to the Rialto stage. Candido Camero, the Havana-born elder-statesman of conga; Puerto Rico’s rhythmic genius Giovanni Hidalgo; and Francisco Aguabella, the “John Coltrane of the conga drums” (per Dizzy Gillespie) are led by four-time Grammy Award-winner (and Academy Award-winner!) Ray Santos. Historically, musically, and conceptually, this rhythmic dream team creates the conga drum experience of a lifetime. |
