DescriptionSecond Annual Fleetwood Blues Festival. (www.fleetwoodbluesfestival.com) is held at Fleetwood Community Park, July 27, 2008. This is a free event and raises money to help buy park equipment for the community. Here is the schedule for this year's event

11am: Mystery Guest to be determined.
12 noon: Dave Mell Blues Band
1 pm: The Blues City Blues Band
2 pm: Mr. Z and the Night Shift
3 pm: Lil' Ragu Blues Band
4 pm: The Blues Factor
5 pm: Eddie Bluestone and the Gypsy Sons
(Jimmy Hendricks Tribute)
6 pm: The Blues Dudes
7 pm: The Blue Light Special

*****Great event! I've been witness to the awesome growth of this event from it's inception 3 years ago. Two years ago the Fleetwood Parks Department offered up their site when the first venue declined to keep this festival going. Fleetwood Park is a great venue, easy to get to, with lots of parking, play areas and pavilions . . and the best of the best from the local bands for entertainment. Crowds were large but respectful of each other, having fun and listening to blues. Despite a severe weather warning and two periods of rain, the crowds waited it out and when the sun came out so did even more people! This is NOT an event you want to miss! All this was free (small donation to park), with raffles of guitars and a barbeque smoker going all day . . and it all went to a great cause - the playground for the kids.Female between 26 and 5507-28-08
****This is a great event. The music was over the top. All the bands that played, were very good. My wife and I will be back again next year. You usually don't get anything this good for free, but it was. What a great time hearing these great musicians. Thanks for an outstanding day!Male between 26 and 5507-30-08
