| Description | Lazy Daze is the highest ranked one day festival in the Nation for Classic & Contemporary Craft Shows by Sunshine Artist Magazine. The tradition continues, as one of North Carolina’s premier arts and crafts festival marks its 32nd!
Lazy Daze was first held on August 27, 1977 to bring artists into the downtown Cary area and to encourage area residents to explore downtown. 30 years later, the Festival is a signature event for the Town of Cary, annually welcoming more than 50,000 people into the historic downtown to experience an amazing array of exceptional arts and crafts. While the Festival has grown tremendously in size and stature, it remains true to its core commitment of bringing the highest quality art, concessions and entertainment to Cary’s downtown. In fact, Lazy Daze has become an annual tradition by showcasing outstanding downtown businesses and bringing superior artists from across the nation to the citizens of Cary. Lazy Daze is a big-time festival that maintains its small-town roots. Festival proceeds are dedicated to supporting arts activities, downtown and Town of Cary initiatives.
It’s a fun day for the entire family - arts and crafts, food, Kid’s World and two huge stages with entertainment all day. Visit www.townofcary.org. For more information call (919) 469-4061. |
