| ***** | Great family fun | Female between 26 and 55 | 12-28-06 |
| ** | though it was much less busy then lake compounce, I think next time I will brave the crowds & pay the extra $, it took more in gas then the difference in my ticket prices, we (my 1yr old son & I) got a wristband so we could go into the saturation station & unlimitedly ride for $9 after 5pm, it was a friday, but the park filled up by 7pm so much that we had to leave, not much grass for little ones to play in & hardly any rides (though I was told by staff over the phone there were "lots" that we could both go on it turned out to be 3 little kid ones that I bearly fit in (5'5"), a dragon ride which may have been the scariest thing I have ever been on, a train with a very scarry tunnel & a carousel - the saturation station looked like fun but the water was so cold neither me or my son could tolorate it long enough to get very wet, also lots of wild, unparented children running crazy all around so much that we couldn't even go up the steps to the play area until a dad went up & cleared us a path-the people who were in charge of the rides kept trying to charge me son tickets even though I was told on the phone he would ride free under 2 as long as I was with him - there was a great lady running the "hampton" kid's rides who had a 1yr old too so she helped me get in & out & kept stopping the ride for hysterical children, but the other ride operators seemed like that really didn't want to be there-also there were 2 people running the 3 kiddy rides so we had to keep moving back & forth thru a hige line of parents who didn't seem to care that other people wanted in or out of the area-the "$.25" hot dogs, cotton candy & soda were all quite disapointing as well, the hot dogs were actually $.53, the cotton candy was a small handful (though I thought a kid friendly size-the ones we ran across definately didn't need any more sugar), the soda was only pepsi (advertised as pepsi, diet, but anything other then pepsi $2) came in a very small cup that was also very child friendly, but obviously a rue to get you to buy a bigger version of what you want-the gift shop was full of dirt/dust -the train blew it's smoke (oil not steam) right in our faces even though we were a car back & the dragon ride didn't secure the kids well & one stood up while we were high in the air, overall I would not recomend unless with big enough kids you could let them run free a little, but by that age they will think it is lame-huge line to get in when we pulled out around 7pm & parking was a mess in a field full of sharp rocks & unobservant pedestrians (which can be found anywhere but it seemed esp horrible today) the wristband didn't cover the pontune "ferry" boat & the paddle boats both of which I was told over the phone were included & were things we really wanted to do, but at $6 for each person/ride with so many people was not worth it-BRING HAND SANITIZER if you go! | Family with young children | 07-11-08 |
| ***** | Fantastic place to take children. The park is clean and refreshing after putting up with huge crowds at other facilities. Pricing is economical - especially for the all-day pass, and the park does not charge you simply to walk around. | Female between 26 and 55 | 02-02-09 |
