| Description | The Ponchatoula Country Market houses 40,000 sq.ft. of booths containing local crafts. It is owned by volunteer non-profit Ponchatoula Country Market, Inc. Besides crafts,we sell the best home-made jams, jellies and candies. Rent from crafters provides funding for preservation and maintenance of this historic 1895 train depot. Outside, there is a resident alligator, Ole Hardhide, the largest flying USA flag on 177 ft. pole. Military reunions are often held here. Located in the heart of historic district, known as "America's Antique City, Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Open 7 days a week; Mon - Sat 10-5pm, Sun Noon to 5pm. Parking available for cars/RVs/buses. Park once; walk the historic district; enjoy variety of foods in many restaurants; stay at Microtel, B&B, or nearby campgrounds. Location: 10 E. Pine St., Ponchatula, LA.
