Nicknamed "Louisiana's White House," the Old Governor's Mansion is a historic house museum built by one of Louisiana's most colorful and dynamic governors, Huey P. Long. The mansion, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, housed nine governors from 1930-1962, and now showcases their original furniture and belongings. From the grand East Room to Huey's "secret staircase" to the serene Rose Garden, the mansion offers a wealth of beauty and history throughout. Guided tours only, group rates available. The Old Governor's Mansion is operated by the Foundation for Historical Louisiana under a cooperative endeavor agreement with the State of Louisiana.
The Mansion is also available for special events, weddings and receptions.
