| ** | I visited the park with my twin grandchildren, age 6, on June 19,2009. We were cautioned when entering the park and beginning our drive through to not roll down the windows in order to feed the animals by hand--that some of them will bite. This scared my little grandson, and he was very nervous whenever I did roll down the window to throw the food out. As it turned out, there were practically no animals that would be considered dangerous to feed by hand! Fact is, there were precious few animals that actually came up to the car. It was a real let down--to have the anticipation to build and build--and then really nothing much to see! The only truly interesting exotic-type animal was the Bengal tiger and,alas, we could never see it as it was in its den. The more interesting animals, like the giraffs, were enclosed and not allowed to come up. It was a big disappointment, all in all. I thought the place did not look well kept at all--the road was awful. We then went to the "petting zoo" section advertised on the materials we received and online. There was not one single animal to pet! We kept looking and looking--there were literally none to pet at all, and very few to even look at. That was really ridiculous--to advertise it as such and then nothing there to pet!! Very pitiful. I would almost say "don't bother" to anyone deciding to visit. But, if the children are quite young, they will probably enjoy the few animals that actually do manage to come up to the car!
