| Description | Now the largest public garden in Iowa, Reiman Gardens creates a striking entrance to Iowa State University and the city of Ames. Situated on a 14-acre site, the year-round facility features eleven distinct gardens including an award-winning rose garden, an indoor conservatory with rotating seasonal displays, 2,500 square-foot indoor butterfly house home to native and exotic butterfly species, butterfly emergence cases, gift shop, and five supporting greenhouses. The Gardens provide opportunities for learning through a year-round education program and special events.
