Description	The Beverly Heritage Center is located in four rehabiliated historic building (the 1900 Beverly Bank, 1800 Original Randolph County Courthouse, The Hill Building and Bushrod Crawford Store/McCleann's Headquarters. These four building showcase several exhibits including the new Travel a Turnpike Through Time, Beverly Heyday and Heritage Gallery and Star on the Horizon-the Battle of Rich Mountain. Visitor's can step back in the time of this unique small town's extrodinary role as a county seat, in the creation of the State of West Virginia, the transportation history of the region via the Staunton-Parkersburg Turnpike (now a National Scenic Byway) and the pivitol events of the American Civil War as it touched the lives of the residents of the town. ****	Not quite sure what the reviewer above is refering to, seems to be off topic. The group of buildings that comprise the Beverly Heritage Center is proof of what a small town can do! Beverly has a population of around 700 and has a group of individuals who care about preserving the heritage of the area and the state. Work is ongoing and when complete will make this small town more of a treasure than it is. The history of it's founding, importance during the Civil War and preservation of homes of the era make this a place to visit.	Female older than 55	05-11-09
