| Description | In 1868, Henry Shaw gave the citizens of St. Louis a substantial tract of open land which he then developed into a grand pleasure ground, known as Tower Grove Park. Today, the park is host to over one million visitors every year, who enjoy strolling, jogging, and cycling, who picnic in the shelter of the colorful Victorian pavilions, who admire the rich architecture and fine sculpture, plus the thousands of trees and shrubs imported from around the world; who enjoy softball, soccer, tennis, kickball, frisbee games, and bird watching; and who relish the Park’s many special events and activities including concerts, festivals, and cultural celebrations of all kinds. You must be in the Park to fully enjoy its many delights. We invite you, and your family and friends, to come soon for a visit. We also offer a brunch on Sunday's from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. |
