Enjoy the view of the Windy City from the 103rd floor of the Skydeck in the Sears Tower, or take a walk on the open-air sky walk at the Hancock Observatory, where you can view as far as Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana.
Take the kids to the Brookfield Zoo where they can see over two thousand animals, or have a robot guide you through the history of Chicago on the Time Escape ride at Navy Pier. The Chicago Air and Water Show is a free show every August that showcases the Navy Blue Angels, but if you want to spend some money, the Magnificent Mile is a one-mile stretch of land that hosts 460 shops. The Chicago Cultural Center hosts numerous shows throughout the year, but no visit to Chicago would be complete without taking in a show at the world famous Apollo Theater.
