| Brief Description | Manchester's Beloved Historic Theatre |
| Type | Activity |
| Category | Manchester New Hampshire Theatre |
| Description | Built in 1915, the historic Palace is a beautifully renovated 870-seat theatre. Originally one of 22 theatres in downtown Manchester (whose marquee lights made up what was called, “The Great White Way”), the Palace is the sole survivor and the only reminder of what used to be a bustling theatre district. In addition to our own Palace Professional Productions and Palace Youth Theatre Productions, we also provide the performance home for many other professional organizations such as the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra, Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater, and Opera New Hampshire.
The Palace Theatre is the performing arts center for Southern New Hampshire. Over 100,000 patrons enter the doors of the Palace each year. Audiences enjoy not only performances by the professional groups listed above, but by many community and educational groups such as Women Spirit Song, Child Health Services, and New Hampshire Country Music Awards.
