DescriptionSpend the weekend in the sun running a 10K on hard-packed beach sand with ocean waves breaking just a few yards away; or, run or walk a 5K on the blacktop Discovery Trail adjacent to the beach. Work up an appetite with the race of your choice, then get ready to taste clam chowder while your non-participating mate enters the Sturgeon Derby in Ilwaco. Following the race is the annual Garlic Festival held throughout the weekend in Ocean Park and the Saturday Market on the Ilwaco waterfront.

Starts promptly at 10 am
Course closes at 11:30 am
Both race and walk will start and end in the vicinity of the arch on the Bolstad beach approach in Long Beach.

Dogs must be leashed and under control at all times. Strollers and spectators are welcome on the 5K run/walk. Segways will be permitted on the race course, but special rules may apply for safety.
