| * | Went for a very special occasion and was really disappointed.
Whatever it was, it is no longer.
My complaints are similar to the rest of those posted here: Poorly trained staff, over-priced food (2 people $40.00 for breakfast / $85.00 for dinner and we don't drink alcohol!), limited menu (looks the same as it did nearly 3 years ago), a single vegetarian offering, little things overlooked like only one luggage rack in the cliff house (called and got no offering for a second one), rooms look dated and worn, flat screen TV is SMALL and very few channels (no Dish/Direct TV so be prepared to haul along your favorite DVDs, fun), in-room offerings are over-priced, no parking is a hassle (thankfully the valet wasn't too busy), and best of all, heavy machinery construction starts at 7:40am! That's right; in a place noted for its acoustics get ready to hear big machines tearing into rock all day long as they work on their upcoming golf course / retirement homes addition. Clearly there is a management vacuum and their grand vision to build some kind of utopia out in the middle of nowhere has left the kids running the store. If you do go bring your own breakfast material and grab the car and head over to Michaels on the lake in Moses Lake…great food, ¼ of the price and nice staff…about a 30 minute drive. So why pay big money to stay in a place where the service is spotty, the food mediocre, the prices outrageous and the ambiance peppered with the sounds of heavy equipment breaking rock? Dunno…the view?
