| Description | "On Saturday October 6, 2012, The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Western PA/West Virginia will be hosting the 13th annual Light the Night Walk in Johnstown, PA. Light the Night is a nationwide evening event to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. The 1.5 mile parade helps support our mission to raise funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma while improving the quality of life of patients and their families.
The walk will take place at Pitt-Johnstown Campus, Blackington Hall and will begin at 7:00 pm, preceded by registration and a pre-walk celebration (including entertainment, music, and refreshments) at 5:00pm. There is no registration fee for the walk, but we encourage everyone to try to raise $25 for the cause. Walkers who raise $25 will receive an illuminated red balloon to carry during the walk to show their support. Walkers who reach higher fundraising levels will receive additional prizes.
