Description | The Petaluma Visitors Center, open seven days a week and housed in the Historic Depot Building, provides a friendly introduction to Petaluma. Boasting a knowledgeable, multilingual staff, the Visitors Center offers an array of maps and brochures and provides information about attractions, tours, events, and itineraries.
Visitors can call or e-mail for information, or stop by to browse the well-stocked racks for accurate, free information to help them in planning their visit to the area. As an added bonus, visitors will delight in the ambiance of the charming Depot Building which is conveniently located near downtown Petaluma, the Transit Center and major roads in and out of Petaluma. The Mission Revival-style building, once a train station, was constructed in 1914 and boasts the original tile floor, wood-beam ceiling and fireplace. Visitors stopping by on a chilly day can enjoy a roaring fire in the fireplace while they gather information.
